Jal Vinayak Festival

Jal Vinayak Festival on November 24 & 25, 2007

In order to promote Chovar as tourist destination Jal Vinayak Community Forest User's Group with promotion of Nepal Tourism Board is organizing Jal Vinayak Festival at Chovar, Kathmandu on November 24-25, 2007. According to organizers, the main attractions of the festival are visit to Chovar cave, traditional Newari cultural program, food festival, visit to Manjushree Gorge etc. Chovar village situated some 9 kms South from city center is tourist destination roofing Chovar cave, Jal Vinayak temple and other various products. The Jal Vinayak festival is believed to unveil the tourist potential of the region to domestic as well as international tourists.
