A meeting was held between several stakeholders of the tourism industry on the 20th of May, 2015 to discuss possible steps to bring back tourism into Nepal post the disaster. Stakeholders included mountain guides, tour guides, trekking companies, tour companies, guest house owners, agents from abroad and host communities from the mountains.
The aim of this report is to form a dynamic strategic process, that is fluid and keeps moving as the situtations unfold. This is also meant to feed into the Tourism Recovery Committee formed by the government, as a means to help them develop better strategies to mitigate the disastrous effect it has on tourism.
